Oh no, this is really terrible! A young girl was deeply saddened after her fiance broke off their engagement so she decided to abort the baby that was in her womb. The 22-year-old girl from Kuala Nerus, Terengganu was heartbroken when her fiance dumped her after he had gotten her pregnant.

According to Sinar Harian, she decided to abort her 20-week-old foetus without any proper medical advice and bought 10 abortion pills that cost her RM600. She swallowed two of the pills and then inserted eight of them in her vagina around 1am last Friday (October 19) as she was determined to make sure that her foetus would die.

In case you didn’t know, abortion pills are usually taken for foetuses up to 10 weeks old. For pregnancies more than 10 weeks, it is recommended for women to do an in-clinic abortion but the pill can still be used up to 24 weeks. However, it is only necessary for a pregnant woman to take two pills to terminate the pregnancy.

To ensure that the male foetus in her womb would die, she also drank some gassy beverages and about an hour after that, the girl started experiencing severe stomach pain. At around 11pm on the same day, she gave birth to a stillborn baby boy weighing 304 grams and proceeded to clean up the baby’s body.

However, the traumatised girl was scared and feeling rather weak so she made a decision to go to the nearest private clinic with her stillborn baby. Kuala Terengganu deputy police chief Superintendent Suffian Sulaiman said, “The clinic’s staff gave the girl a phone number for burial services for her baby but told her that she had to make a police report before they could perform a burial.”

“As she was feeling weak and still wanted to make sure her foetus’ body was properly taken care of, she went to the Gong Badak police station to report the incident and brought the body along as well,” he added. After she had lodged her report, she was sent to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for further treatment. The police are now investigating the case under Section 315 of the Penal Code and if convicted, the girl could be jailed for 10 years or fined or both.

No thanks to an irresponsible man who dumped her when she needed him the most, she could now be facing jail time.
